Have you ever wanted to add a little personality to your dental work? We recently had a patient request a tattoo for the crown that she had done. Adding some music notes to her crown was such a neat idea!
Take a peak at these before and after photos of a case that Dr. Shari completed this morning. The patient had a history of large fillings and root canals on her front teeth. Sh e was unhappy with the look of her front teeth. Crowns were made for her front four teeth. Life changing results!
Most patients are surprised by how easy and pain free the root canal procedure is. Dentists have a lot of experience and knowledge when it comes to getting the tooth completely numb to ensure you don’t feel any pain during the procedure.
If there was an abcess on the tooth prior to starting the root canal there is a possibility that there could be some discomfort after the procedure is complete. It can take time for your body to fight off the bacteria that remains outside of the root. In some cases an antibiotic will be prescribed if your dentist feels it is necessary to help combat the abscess.
Symptoms of an abscess can include swelling, pain when chewing, sensitivity to hot, throbbing pain. If you feel that you may have an abscessed tooth please call our office right away (320-251-2972) as this can become a very serious or even life threatening condition.
Below are a couple pictures of what an abscess can look like:
We strive to keep up with the latest technology that is available today in order to best serve our patients.
